TP-LINK C3200 IPSec VPN setup

I use the PIA app on most of my devices, but using the app prevents me from controlling some devices (security, home automation, etc) locally. I would like to some what protect my whole local network and then also run the PIA app only when needed for extra security. The router I have, TP-LINK C3200, does have the capability of a IPSec VPN. I know using the IPSec VPN would not be as secure as using the PIA app, but I think it would would allow me to control local devices. Does anybody know if my plan would work? Does anybody know what setting I would need to enter such as remote gateway, IP address for VPN, etc.?

Can you send us a screenshot of the available configuration options? IPSec/L2TP varies a lot depending on the router firmware so it's probably going to be easier this way. You should be able to base yourself on https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/client-support/windows7-l2tp however in terms of what settings needs to be input.
