Location Found

in iOS VPN Setup
When I turn on PIA on my Mac (macOS 10.13.2) the computer seems well hidden.  Not so on my iPad.  The iPad (iOS 11.2.1) lacks cell service and is WiFi'd to my home WAP.  With PIA active oookla Speedtest nails my location.  So do other apps, like NOAA Radar Pro.  My iOS browsers show Location Unavailable.  Those same apps on my iMac don't find my location.  What is it about iOS that allows my location to be found with PIA active?

    Never mind.  I answered my own question.  With Location Services disabled on the iOS device and PIA active location isn't found.
