Noob question regarding SOCKS5 Host in Vuze
in P2P Support
Hi there everyone! This is my first post on the PIA Discussion boards, and I have a (what I consider) very noobish question.
I'm trying to set up PIA to work with Vuze, and under the Options->Connections->Proxy, in the Host area I've read that I just put "proxy-nl.privateinternetaccess.com" in there. Is that correct? Or do I actually put an IP address or something in there?
Thank you all for your time and effort!

For example:
ping proxy-nl.privateinternetaccess.comThat said, we don't recommend using the proxy for torrenting, since SOCKS5 is unencrypted and thus pretty insecure. For torrents, we recommend using the desktop application with the killswitch enabled to prevent any leaks.
Some torrent clients, Vuze included, also offer an option to bind the client directly to a network interface. In many ways, this is even better than using the killswitch, since it's impossible for your traffic to leave the system if the connection drops.
TAP Windows Adapter v9 is the interface you'll want to bind Vuze to.
