Linux MInt 18.3 autostart PIA vpn connection
Hi everyone! i recently updated Linux Mint to 18.3 by doing a complete wipe and fresh install. Previously i was using the pia manager that is downloaded via the pia website for linux. It was version 75 and worked great. But now with this new version of mint it is said that u can get the pia manager (v1.0.6) from its default software manager as can be seen here. So this time round i installed the pia manager from the software center and it works great except it wont auto start/ connect to the vpn service. Each time restart or shut down i have to go to the network manager and click on the pia vpn connection and then im good till the next time i shut down or restart. Is there a setting im not seeing or perhaps a command i need to enter to have it auto start? or should i remove this pia manager from the software center and go with the one that is provided from the pia website?

It works okay when I use 16.04 (haven't tried it there lately) and I still have a partition with 16.04 (I didn't upgrade or change it yet).
