@OpenVPN Yeah, so far my suspicion is that we built the app on a new-ish Mac and it used CPU instructions that aren't compatible with some older CPUs.
@alaric It is currently pulled out of the website. Try restarting the PIA client so it stops notifying you for now - the Windows version also have a similar bug we are also investigating. Please stay on v75 for now. I've posted the Linux link because v76 was fixing major Linux issues and is known to work fine but I won't post the Windows link until we know it is safe to use. Sorry about that, we're still actively working on it!

I'm presuming that v76 is safe to use for users with newer Macs? I haven't experienced any issues yet however I put the application through my own testing phase which lasts 4 days and I will give you guys a shout out if I encounter any issues although I don't expect that I will.
can't install PIA v76 on Ubuntu (I downloaded the file 2x): sed: can't read .././pia-v76-installer-linux.sh: No such file or directory xz: (stdin): File format not recognized tar: Child returned status 1 tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
v75 installed normally, I only had to pute it to the /opt/ directory to connect.
I think maybe I got hit in the middle of my installs by this change-over.
I'm a brand new user. I installed on Linux Mint 17.3/64-bit/xfce4 from the link PIA sent in the email. Worked fine.
An hour later, I went to another identical computer and followed the exact same procedure, again following the email link to download the file. However, the download tar.gz file -- from the exact same email link -- expanded into a different set of files!
The 1st machine's tar.gz file expanded into .pia_install.9850 and subdirectories. The 2nd machine's tar.gz file expanded into the standard p-v75 installer file.
The p-75 installer did not work for me on the 2nd computer. I googled to find this thread, downloaded the p-v76 installer from the link given above, and it installed fine on my 2nd computer.
I am sorry, but I do not want to join any beta programs. I do not give you money to be a beta tester. I pay you because you claim that your service supports Linux, and it's not.

All good now.
The link you gave for the V-76 Linux installer was
https://installers.privateinternetaccess.com/download/pia-v76-installer-linux.tar.gz
however this gives the following response -
Can you assist please?
