Losing connection after a few minutes, can't reconnect

Running Ubuntu Server 16.04.3 in Virtualbox. I have had this machine running fine in the past. The OpenVPN service starts at boot and runs fine for about 5 minutes, then dies and can not reconnect.

Connecting to CA Toronto, using the default file (downloaded today) except for the following changes:

verb 3

auth-user-pass pia-login

script-security 2

up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf

down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf

log /var/log/openvpn.log
