When can we expect a beta release with Wireguard Integrated?

When we do have WireGuard support in, I would imagine so given how much change would be implied. I have no idea where WireGuard support is at the moment however, but I imagine we'll see server support before client support.

You don't need a special client to connect to a VPN with wireguard.
It already exists and it is the most simple VPN client imaginable:

The only thing that needs to be done as @Max-P has mentioned is server side, and will involve something like this:

@d4rkcat - having available what that mailing list post talks about certainly isn't required to run a successful commercial wireguard deployment.

From what I know, PIA is interested in this and is planning on rolling it out, as they announced here: https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/blog/2018/01/private-internet-access-proud-supporting-wireguard-project/ They wrote here, "we are extremely happy to announce that we will be working on integrating WireGuard."

Actually that mailing list post was by the author of wireguard and having some kind of server side software such as the blind operator rootkit is completely essential and an absolute minimum requirement of providing an anonymous wireguard service. 
Without it PIA will not be able to resist legal subpoenas by stating that they do not/can not log users IP's.
