Simplest / speediest VPN setup?

Hi. I'd like to create a VPN connection for my Apple TV so I can stream stuff from my home country. I don't really need any encryption for this so looking for the simplest / fastest connection to set up for my asus router with merlin. I tried to disable encryption but didn't get it to work. Maybe it's not supported anymore? If you have specific instructions for merlin-wrt that would be especially appreciated. Thanks!

    Unfortunately, at the moment we don't support encryptionless OpenVPN outside of the PIA application, as it is quite technically advanced and it would involve rebuilding your firmware to establish a stable connection without our servers booting you off. 

    If you don't need encryption, a PPTP connection might be best for you. We don't currently offer a guide for PPTP on Merlin, but our DD-WRT guide might help you get started!
