The popups on the PIA desktop app to upgrade are TOO FREQUENT!
I am quite happy sticking with version 72 on my windows 10 machine. Even if i disable the "show desktop notifications" option in the application itself, it wont tell me that i am connected, but it will still constantly like every 15minutes popup saying upgrade to the latest version, something im just not comfortable doing right now because of all the bug reports. Besides, if a user has already seen the popup to upgrade and decides against it, why badger him like this? It never used to happen in the previous version upgrades.
Max-P and Support, is there a way you can talk to the dev team, to tell them to take it down a notch the alerts to upgrade? Once a month will be fine, not once every 15 to 20minutes.

I think disabling notifications on v72 should stop the popups too. Have you tried restarting the client? I think the option is only checked when the update timer is enabled, so restarting it with notifications off might help with this.
Here's how to completely disable upgrade notifications on v72:
- Exit the app completely
- Download this modified file: https://d.max-p.me/pia/forum/30577/upgradehelper.js
- Copy the upgradehelper.js file to C:\Program Files\pia_manager\pia_tray_files\js
- Agree to replace the file and to use administrator privileges
- Start the app back up. Update notifications should be gone.
Please note that we don't recommend doing so as it means you will never be notified to update, which could compromise your security if an issue with v72 were to be discovered as we won't have a way to notify you about it. Use this modification at your own risk. You're welcome
