Too many update alerts!

I'm probably in the minority on this but can you please tell me how to disable the update nags.  I get that you want me to update the client but a constant barrage of popups on my Mac (top right corner) just pisses me off and makes me NOT want to update.  I'm seeing one about every 10-15 minutes.

Can you please tell me how to disable the notices?  Can you PLEASE add a setting for this in the UI so we have some control over it?  I'll even settle for the URL or IP the client pings to check for updates so I can block it.

The problem is the 15 minutes. You "fixed" a problem that should not exist in the first place.

This occurred on some versions of the legacy where the popups were too frequent or if the update was removed. On the new version, you will not get a popup but a notification on the app itself if there was an update.
