Hello,

got a new router I followed both steps unfortunately, I can't get openvpn to work
it connected successfully but my IP is public and wifi can't be connected :(

is there any updated tutorial 
please and thanks

    Our most recent DD-WRT tutorial is available here. 

    Any chance you could post your router logs so that we can get a stronger sense of what's going wrong here? Additionally, please navigate to Administration>Commands and paste the output of these two commands into your reply:

    ifconfig -a
    route -n

    Putting VPN on a router is a great idea but shit in practice.

    You get insanely slow speeds so it's not worth the drop in speeds. Great idea though.

    Depends the kind of router. An x86 based one like the pfSense ones gets pretty solid performance with PIA. The problem is just that the routers people tend to have and flash unofficial firmwares on just aren't fast enough to handle the speed, but it's not an inherent issue with routers.
