Does VPN Cause any issue to run a game on windows?

I was trying to run a game on Window shaving VPN on. Do you think that it cause issue while on Steam.

  • It is kind of a grey area with Steam, but the reason Steam doesn't like VPNs is to prevent people from purchasing games in other countries where it is cheaper because the economy there is different. A while ago there was a lot of people buying games in Russia and then reselling them to other countries for a profit while remaining cheaper than the full price in those countries. Those shady sellers had people use a VPN to activate the game keys to tie the game to the account and make it work everywhere.

    So far I think the community conclusion is that as long as you don't use the VPN to move to other countries and buy games there, you should be fine.

    Just don't activate or buy any games while on the VPN and I think Steam won't care at all, or if it does you can always show you're using a VPN in good faith and that you've never used it to try to cheat any restriction.
