I realise that this is apparently part of PIA, but why does it want to connect to accounts.google?

    That's likely because nwjs is based off Chromium, so there's probably still some Chrome-related code in there. Were Firefox to be the popular embedded brower, we'd probably have an ngjs doing requests to Mozilla. Definitely not intended.
