How I increased my VPN speed on Windows

1. Open task manager
2. Find the OpenVPN service
3. right click then select set priority 
4. change to real-time
5. check your speed on speedtest.net

    Honestly, old news, not sure it really helps with anything - it doesn't affect throughput, just how much priority the CPU puts towards the task.

    Yeah, I'm kind of suspicious that makes any difference unless your machine is already fully loaded on CPU. There is a separate issue specific to the TAP-Win32 driver from OpenVPN that botttlenecks the entire VPN in which case changing OpenVPN's priority won't do anything.

    Worth a try, but just pointing that out so people hitting the TAP issue are aware it may not work for them :)
