DNS leaks through chrome extensions?

Hi guys,

Just read this article, where they wrote that roughly 70% of VPNs leak your DNS through their Chrome plugin. Luckily, PIA isn't one of them. 

I just want to know how "big" issue is this? Should I be worried, even though I'm using PIA?

    If you want to know if your leaking dns go to www.ipleak.net normaly your ip and dns address should be the same and you dont want anything showing under Webrtc detection.

    From the little I have read on it and from the article you linked, it seems that in the worst case it's about as bad as a regular DNS leak.

    I can confirm that PIA handles this with its Chrome extension, and this issue doesn't affect people using the desktop application (which redirects the entire system).
