What happened to sn0wmonster?

Long-time PIA subscriber here. I've been around longer than a lot of PIA employees have. It seems a lot of them come and go rather quickly.

One of the good ones is/was sn0wmonster. We sometimes butted heads but I admired the guy's intelligence and honesty, traits I've often found remarkably lacking at PIA (with the exception of Max-P). sn0wmonster proved his commitment for making significant support and technological improvements and advocating for the customer. He and I had some excellent interaction via PM. He was always welcoming of my input and suggestions. Very positive and promising. But now it appears he's gone, and this after he told me he'd made a long-term commitment to PIA. His forum handle "sn02monster" has been replaced with "[Deleted User]". So what happened?

Believe it or not I was wondering the exact same thing last week. Sn0wmonster was active almost everyday on the forum and provided honest and accurate answers to every question that I ever asked him (same as @Max-P.) Although, I doubt we will ever know what truly happened to him.

We're in the process of launching some new exciting projects and as such some of the advanced technical people are currently helping with that.... either that or he's off chasing skiers to eat for dinner.

We're planning quite a few changes in the coming months, some of which you've already seen with our move to open source our code, others currently going through testing, others being launched in beta testing on Monday (9th April), some changes start of May etc.... the list goes on.

A LOT is happening in the background here at Private Internet Access which we will announce at the appropriate time..... but please be aware that we're all working hard to ensure these happen. A lot of time and energy is being poured into these changes.

I hope this helps answer your question.

  • @PIAJason, I know that the forum is not a top priority, but I do hope that somewhere in the plan is to update to a more user friendly and tighter (spam wise) forum. I sort of like this format but the color scheme is hurting my eyes. LOL Light gray text on white background just doesn't do right with the old eye balls. LOL
  • @PIAJayson - looking forward to seeing the changes implemented!

Um, no, it doesn't. In fact it was a very weird reply and quite evasive.

Moreover, my question wasn't intended to elicit another round of PIA marketing hype. Please, I've had more than my fair share of that.

    Please just answer the question.

I thought a series of beta updates were scheduled to be released Monday, April 9th? I'm really hoping the Firefox extension beta Is released soon along with stealth protocols for the desktop and mobile applications.
