Some sites (including my own) block me from accessing page, seems you are port scanning websites?

Hi,

I have PIA for a long time now but recently stumbled upon something strange.
When I turn PIA on and start browsing I noticed after I browsed for a couple of minutes on the same site suddenly pages didn't load anymore.

This was also the case with my own website so checked the logs and Snort/CSF blocked access because you were port scanning?!?!
WTF are you port scanning websites when I'm just browsing some webpages.
This is definitly a big reason to switch provider if it can't get solved.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Was that port scan from the IP you were using?
    You done a malware scan?
  • Yes, the port scan came from the PIA client IP address.
As soon as I turned it off the blocked pages worked again.
Have done a malware scan on the computer, nothing here, it only happens when PIA is active.
  • I was connected with a Dutch PIA server.

You use a *shared* IP with VPN's if someone is not using a effecive virus/malware/etc scanner like windows defender "we" all cop it!
    Example https://www.abuseat.org/lookup.cgi?ip=212.92.112.31
