I suspect big changes will be coming with the release of v80 beta.

Application development is a very time-consuming process, I suspect some of the features which we have been asking for on the survey might be implemented in next beta version. Everybody keep their fingers crossed.

We're pushing really hard to get something released that we've spent the last 5 months building... not only is what we have planned beautiful, but it drastically changes a lot of how we've been working based on feedback, suggestions, bugs, improvements. Significant analysis, thought, planning, testing and reconfiguration has gone into this.

... plus we have a few announcements for what comes after! This week will be a busy week, but we're getting there, and dammit, was it worth the effort and energy!

Thanks for the heads-up! I was definitely curious about what was coming down the pipeline ever since I filled out the survey to specify what features I desired most. Looking forward to testing whatever comes next (hopefully this week) and I will be sure to provide feedback about my experience. Thank you for all your hard work!
  • @PIAJayson - does any of that include the perm removal of Ruby?  Something that's continually been promised, literally, for *years*?

would be nice to be able to run the program like a real application instead of from the Temp folders.......

That's part of the main complaint against it.
  • I've heard that upgrading to v80 is a nightmare and that it even breaks previous installations, at least in windows it seems.

I'm going to spin up a virtual machine and try it before I mess with it on my main machine.
  • Ok, it worked perfectly fine for me. Though, I don't notice any functionality changes really.. the "What's new" list is pretty short, no new options that I could notice.. the UI looks updated..

    Maybe I'm missing something?
