No Internet When PIA is Disconnected.

Hello,
I've been using PIA virtual network for months now with no issues. However, today I started having an issue that when PIA is disconnected, I cannot access the internet through Google Chrome or Internet Explorer. The internet connection shows that it is working and other programs access the internet fine such as TeamViewer, and Chrome and IE work fine when PIA is connected.

I am using Windows 7.

On Chrome, a message pops up stating: "There is no Internet connection

There is something wrong with the proxy server, or the address is incorrect.".

On Internet Explorer, it says: "The proxy server isn't responding."

I've been trying to research the issue to troubleshoot it on my own, I've tried the following so far:

1) Disabled DNS leak protection .
2) Disabled IPv6 leak protection.
3)  Verified that kill switch is disabled (it wasn't on previously).
4) I've tried changing the DNS server address for both my network and the TAP adapter to 209.222.18.222 for the preferred and 209.222.18.218 for the alternate as I found on a troubleshooting page.
5) Uninstalled and reinstalled my network adapters.
6) Uninstalled and reinstalled PIA.
7) Reset my internet explorer settings.
8) Uninstalled and reinstalled Google Chrome.
9) Tried creating a separate user profile on my laptop, but it cannot connect either.
10) I reset my internet settings by following instructions on a troubleshooting page by typing the following into the command prompt: netsh int ip reset reset.txt , netsh winsock reset , netsh advfirewall reset.
11) I've ran the Windows Network Diagnostics and it says: "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem.".
12) I've tried using both wifi and direct connect - neither work.

I'm at a loss on what to try and do next.

Also, under "internet options" in control panel, in the connections tab, the LAN settings is grayed out with a message below it saying: "Some settings are managed by your systerm administrator." But, I am the computer administrator.

Thank you if anyone can help!

What does your route table look like when connected and disconnected? When connected, can you ping Yahoo, com as a URL? Since some of your other apps are working I am sure it is not a DNS issue. It sounds like something is not resetting.

When you first start you PC, do not start PIA.
Let the PC run its normal course.
    Open your browser.
Now run your browser and open some pages.
    Close your browser.
    Now run PIA.
    Open your browser again.
    Open some different pages.
    Close you browser.
    Disconnect from PIA.
Wait for PIA to completely close.
Open your browser and then some different pages.

You can also check your route table before starting PIA, and then after closing PIA. Just to make sure your TAP interface closes..
