Port forwarding features not working

Hi

In PIA windows under advanced settings i set local port to 32400 (for Plex) and set request port forwarding to true.

On my toolbar PIA says it is connected to Toronto Canada and is assigned a port: XXXXX

When i go onto open port check tool it reports that the port PIA assigns me is closed along with 32400

Is anyone else having problems with port forwarding or is this just me?

Some posts here do indicate occasional issues with the port forward feature, try another port forward region.

Don't set the local port in client settings.

Do request port forwarding, connect then hover over the icon(tooltip) to see the port, and copy this manually into your programs settings.

The port should display as open with online check if software is running and 'listening' on that port.

You can check by opening command prompt and typing netstat -an then look for something like 0.0.0.0:xxxxx listening, which would be your program listening on xxxxx, where xxxxx is your port forward from pia tooltip.
