Cant Find Certain Servers When Connected Through PIA

I use Internet Download Manager for my downloading.

Before connecting to PIA, Internet Download Manager downloads anything, from anywhere.

Once connected to PIA, certain downloads just hang when using Internet Download Manager.

And, I receive different error messages from IDM, like:

"cannot find server vtt.tumblr.com"

Or if I try to download from, "Xhamster" for instance, IDM starts to download, gets only a few bytes, and then just hangs.

But the same file, while not connected to PIA, using IDM, ...works.

So, this isolates the problem to PIA, but there are no viable settings to change to try and remedy this situation.

Any help?

If the problem was isolated to PIA, then it would be web-wide. Meaning, every web page you visit would exhibit the same issue. Web pages would be slow to appear because they are also being downloaded. It is possible that IDM is limiting access to the block of IP addresses being used by PIA, specifically from the PIA server you are access. Have you tried using a different Region/Server?

I am sure PIASteveG will do his best to help you, but try different regions and see if the problem persist. That could help you with your diagnosis of the problem.

Tried filling out a ticket, wouldn't take it because of the Verification Details line. Order number? Transaction ID?

    Seriously?

I just had a simple question, no need to go through all that baloney.

I'll try connecting to PIA through other Regions/Servers as Omnibus_IV suggested.

Screen capture video of the problem occurring:

  • Just as an update, changing Servers as Omnibus_IV suggested, failed to alleviate the problem.
