PIA deletes pia_manager.exe file when I exit the PIA client???

Something very strange is happening with my PIA.  

Whenever, I exit PIA, it seems to delete the pia_manager.exe file.  This means that each time I want to use PIA, I have to re-install the file.  

My set up is:
  • Windows 10 Pro
  • I download and execute this installation file: https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/installer/download_installer_win
  • I can install PIA
  • I can log onto and start PIA.  VPN connects and functions as expected.
  • However, when I close the PIA client, the program deletes the pia_manager.exe which is required to launch the application.  I do not delete the pia_manager.exe file myself.
This happens each time I exit the PIA client.

In order to use PIA, I have to re-install it each time using the pia-v72-installer-win file.

    Do you have any antivirus software on your machine? That sounds like the most likely cause of behavior like this.

    Adding file exclusions should resolve the issue.
