Need help getting set back up after switching isp's.

edited July 2014 in P2P Support
I've been using PIA for five weeks and am running it on Win 7 64 bit. I switched isp's today. Previously I had uTorrent set up with the socks5 proxy. When I re-opened uTorrent after switching isp's, I tested the proxy with proxy checker and it failed. I have a ticket open to deal with that, but here's what I've got going on with uTorrent ...

I have a torrent from the previous isp \ uTorrent socks5 connection, now continuing it's Dl @ about 70 KB/s. If I have uTorrent set to connect with Socks5 and Proxy Checker says it isn't working, then has uTorrent just ignored the Socks5 setting and now the torrent is being DL'd on my regular isp address without protection, if I don't have the PIA WIndows VPN running? Or could Proxy Checker be failing?

And I guess related to this .... does the PIA windows VPN need to be running in order for the socks5 connection to be established when I launch uTorrent? Or can I have it where I'm using my regular isp address - no VPN - for my browsing and other traffic, and just have the proxy launch with uTorrent? I'm just wanting to set it up so that I'm protected when DL'ing with uTorrent.

Thx
