v81 for Linux has problems

v81 for Linux has a problem with maintaining a connection. Random dropouts, Kill switch is not engaged.
Without PIA running it has zero problems maintaining a connection. No random drop outs.
Power management is off on my adapter, router has a set channel and doesn't scan for channels.
v80 works fine, you may want to look at the networking changes you made for v81

    This is on Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 64bit

    Just an FYI that this doesn't seem to be an issue with v81 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS 64 bit... stays connected for hours even with the kill switch enabled.  Good luck!

    works fine on MX Linux 16 and MX Linux 17 - both 64 bit, one PC and one MSI Laptop. Nothing diplayed when hovering mouse cursor over panel icon, Right click displays info re connection/ip
