Chrome Plugin want to read my browsing history?
Care to explain this? I just received a notification that the PIA plugin is disabled "to re-enable it, accept the new permission: read your browsing history". I'm not comfortable with that and it doesn't seem to work well with the nature of the plugin.

Thanks so much for reaching out to us here at Private Internet Access Technical Support. We are happy to announce that we have recently updated all version of our PIA browser extension. As a result, Chrome users will receive a warning that by downloading and using the extension the following permissions will be given:
Unfortunately, this warning, generated only within Chrome, is very misleading. We have added a bypass list tab in the extension which will allow users to add a particular site to the bypass list without typing the URL into the extension:
In order to provide our users with this wonderful functionality, the extension requires access to the URL of the current page you are attempting to use the bypass list. This was implemented to simplify the utilization of the bypass list in the new extension and prevent subscribers from having to access the Chrome Extension settings. Outside of the URL the extension will access none of your other data of any kind despite what this generic, all-inclusive warning may indicate.
I apologize for any confusion this update has caused and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions or concerns! Thank you from the PIA-CS Team
