What VPN do you use, /r/Linux?
I was reading through the comments on this post, and noticed a couple peopie mentioning VPN's.
This finally got me to start looking into them (as previously I had no idea what they really did), leading me down a rabbit hole of near infinite choice. routerlogin
There are absolute scores of different VPNs to choose from with varying prices, features, OS support, and public opinion.
I've been trying to narrow it down, but it's been difficult, as it seems for every person that says something good about a particular VPN, there's another one to say it's terrible. And oftentimes it's blatant that one or either side are clearly associated with a company, and are just trying to promote themselves or demonize their competition.
VPN also seems to suffer from that issue, and I'd rather get a feeling for what Linux u whatsapp websers prefer. So the question is:
What VPN are you using?
What would you recommend, and why?
Which VPN's have you had a bad experience with?
Have you tried gaming online with it, was your ping acceptable?

Thank you for your inquiry. Without slandering or criticizing other VPN services, I wanted to mention why most people choose Private Internet Access. Our application offers very highly competitive pricing compared to other providers, and we offer several payment options such as Credit Card, PayPal, Google, various Crypto Currencies and the use of Gift cards.
The main difference between other VPN providers and us is that we do not keep logs of any kind. We are highly dedicated to ensuring that the service you receive is 100% private and secure.
To that end, our OpenVPN-based VPN software is equipped with a host of features to ensure that you are as private and secure as you require. First and foremost, the VPN software allows you to change the level of encryption you are using to suit your needs.
Our application uses OpenVPN SSL based encryption, specifically 128-bit CBC-AES, but also offers other encryption setting options. More information on our client's VPN settings can be found on the following page:
https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/vpn-encryption
Our client also comes with these notable optional advanced features:
- The VPN Kill Switch will disable your standard Internet connection if the VPN connection drops or is disconnected, preventing your real IP address from being revealed
- DNS leak prevention prevents requests being made to your ISP's DNS servers
- Port forwarding, which can be used to help torrents with connectivity and speeds if there are issues with either
- IPv6 leak protection, which disables the IPv6 setting on your computer to prevent your real IP address and other sensitive information from leaking out over IPv6 connections
Please let us know if you have any further questions about our client or services. We are here to assist! - PIA CS Team.
