User login fails after moving /home

At this point, due to the copy vs rsync (I am not familiar with the direct copy of the personal folder.) I would say that if the uuid is correct in fstab to mount the desired partition in / home, change the name of your user folder Jim in jim.bk, then deluser Jim followed by adding user Jim and then see if you can log in. If you can, copy the jim.bk files of your choice into Jim's new user folder. If the problem persists, simply delete the new Jim user folder and rename jim.bk to jim.

    Hello bkdroid13

I am sorry for the inconvenience of the issue. However, can you inform us of the following to begin:

    1. Can you describe how the issue occurs in a few sentences?
    2. What operating system and version are you using on the device you have the VPN service set up on (e.g., Windows 7, MacOS High Sierra, iOS 11, etc.)?
    3. What version of the PIA client are you currently using? (e.g., v82, v1.1.1, v2.8.2)
    4. Do you have any security applications installed on the device you’re using the VPN service on (firewalls, antivirus, etc.)? If yes, what apps are you using?
    5. Since government censorship and third-party interference can sometimes cause issues with connectivity, approximately where in the world are you connecting from?
    6. Are you receiving any error message or other alerts (and if so, what does it say)

Once I receive this information from you, I’ll be happy to review it and offer additional assistance based on your setup! - PIA CS TEAM
