Multiple issues when using VPN on Windows in Saudi Arabia

I'm aware there are PIA issues when it comes to Middle Eastern countries, however, there are several VPNs that market to an Asian/Middle Eastern audience base (HSS is very popular here) that work fine so I'm 100% sure this problem can be resolved with a few changes here and there.

Basically, I subscribed to PIA when I was in the US, and there, the client worked fine on Windows, I was able to just hit connect and it would connect me to the best server. When I try to do that here in Saudi Arabia, it tries connecting me to the UAE server, then says unable to connect. It does this with the chrome PIA extension as well.

Using other chrome VPNs works just fine for some reason, it's only with PIA in Saudi Arabia that the issue arises. What I've tried, and it is kind of a fix, is using the other method to connect (where you go into settings and add a VPN connection manually), however, there are issues with this method. For instance, I can access very few sites, most sites don't connect at all (It might be a DNS issue from what I've googled).

What's interesting is that on my Android and Linux the old fashioned way works just fine, it is only on Windows that I am getting this issue. I know that part of it is because my ISP is a b****, but I also know that nothing is bigger than a VPN (even in Russia and China, I know of people who manage to connect).

One thing that works is using a crappy chrome VPN with a much slower speed, but I don't want to do that at all. I want to use PIA.
