Firefox add-on works upon 1st install but not after 2nd startup

in Mac OS X VPN Setup
After successfully installing this to Firefox on the Mac, logging in, and running it yesterday, today I'm getting "Private Internet Access cannot be used because another extension is controlling your browsers proxy settings." Searched for this on google. Nothing came up.  Is this a bug?

Incidentally, I've also posted this on the mozilla add-on forums as well.

    Please list all your add-ons/extensions for the PIA guys. It might trigger something that is associated with this error.

    I have sorted this out.  Pulse Secure VPN is run by default on startup on MacOS, and there is now way to disable it except by removing it.  Addon functionality to Firefox now restored.  Not sure how to manage dual VPN capabilities going forward.

    Back to not working, bummer.  My only add-ons are Ublock Origin & Video DownloadHelper.  I've tried disabling both -- no bueno.
