Port forward with persistent port number
I'm experimenting with port forwarding over PIA VPN (which is a really neat concept); however, using the port-requesting API the port number that gets opened seems to be very temporary.
If the OpenVPN client on PfSense gets restarted or assigned a new IP, the port is no longer open.
If the API gets used again, the port number is different than previously.
This makes it difficult to have persistent applications open on a port over the VPN.
Is there a way to pass an argument through the API to request a specific port number or keep the previously assigned port?
If not, is there an alternative to port forwarding that provides similar functionality?
I would really like to have a persistent open port working over PIA, that would be exceptional.

Thank you for the inquiry. Unfortunately, because our company doesn't retain access logs of any sort, we're unable to issue dedicated Ports.
To provide maximized privacy we only assign ports at random through our application to ensure security. If we did offer static ports, it would completely invalidate our privacy standards, and make the service un-secure. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. - PIA CS TEAM
