Which servers with no blocking

How do you select a server that you connect and websites work. They don't show you messages like "This IP has been blocked..." and so on.
Do I need to sit around clicking  "connect, check, disconnect, connect, check" and so on until It's working? Is there a better way ?

  • Hello piinac,

Thank you for your response! We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Unfortunately, blacklisting of IPs is a very common problem with VPNs. Some large websites, including retailers, streaming services, banks, and marketplaces like craigslist, place a blanket ban on VPN use. Their security sees our anonymous IP address as a potential threat so they block us out. While we rotate our IPs regularly, we are unable to render support or assistance in accessing restricted content via our service. Your VPN may need to be turned off to access these websites.

Another option would be to try using one of our browser extensions as they do use some different IP's that may allow a connection. Our DevOps team is aware of the connection issues when it comes to streaming services like Amazon Video, Netflix, BBC, etc. They have assured us that they are working on our infrastructure in order to combat censorship and filtering. We believe that you should not need to compromise your security or privacy in order to view products and services online. Unfortunately, we do not have a timeline for when that solution will be implemented. Your VPN may need to be turned off to access these websites. However - have you tried the following:

    - change servers
    - cycling servers
(connect to one server, disconnect, select a different server, disconnect, re-try the original server)
    - change ports and protocols (tcp/udp)
    - upgrading to newest version
    - clear cache and cookies in the browser
    - changed browsers to see if one is faster
    - performed a clean uninstall/reinstall
(uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling a fresh copy)
    - logged out of the application and reboot the device
(then logged back in to try and connect successfully)

These options are not a one simple fix and may be periodically used to connect. If you need further assistance, please let us know! - PIA CS TEAM
