I just bought it today and I am having connection issues

So I purchased PIA today and on my windows 10 pc I’ve been experiencing connection issues. The VPN will never disconnect but my web pages will not for for 30 sec or so. It does this every minute or 2 which frustrates me.

  • Hmmm so after restarting my pc after allowing it through Malwarebytes Windows Defender and Firewall my packet loss has went away will update if it comes back
  • It will come back, I've had the same issue for months now.  I've played email tag with their tech support for 3 months and tried everything including using open vpn instead of the PIA client.  I get disconnected all the time, I'll probably get D/C while typing this message.  It happens on multiple windows machines for me, I keep hoping they'll fix it with an update but so far they haven't.  Unhappy Customer
  • Ive been having the same issues on both pc and mobile. 

    I have to keep switching servers to stay connected.

    are you guys using wireless (wi-fi) connections? Just curious.

    On my pc, wired. 

    On my phone is wifi/cellular. 

    How does this matter?

    Coupled with that there is a daemon vpn service on task manager that will be showing 10Mbps+ while my connection and downloads are slow.

    i was just curious. A while back I had two Windows 10 systems with a similar situation as it seems to be described here although not very detailed. It only happened when wi-fi was being used. But it turned out to be setup issues, removing the PIA client and tap adapter, clearing the temp dir in the profile, and then a reboot and reinstall of PIA solved the issue. It seems that sometimes PIA's install does not allow the openvpn and Tap adapter to be set up correctly if you install over a previous version, so ya gotta remove the whole thing and install it clean.
