How to enable MACE ad blocking on openvpn asus-wrt Merlin

I am using PIA via an openvpn setup on my asus router with Merlin firmware. Everything works fine, but I am not getting ad-blocking.

I have "Accept DNS Configuration" set to Exclusive. If I change it to Strict, then I get ad blocking, but also a DNS leak.

I do have the WAN DNS servers set to PIA's servers. Is there something I can set to eliminate DNS leaks and also have ad blocking?
