PIA didn't work at all in Europe
I just returned from a 4 week trip in France and Italy. I had/have the IOS PIA app installed on my iPhone. Every time I tried to connect to a VPN when on a wifi connection, the internet would time out. This would include small home networks, to medium sized hotel networks to large networks like at an airport. Every single time. The app would connect ok and I'd have the green circle, but access to internet would time out. As soon as I disconnected PIA I would get internet access. Now that I'm at home in Canada I have no problems using PIA on my home network.
It was beyond useless.

Maybe the networks were blocking PIA?
I am sorry for the inconvenience of the issue. However - have you tried the following:
- change servers
- cycling servers
(connect to one server, disconnect, select a different server, disconnect, re-try the original server)
- change ports and protocols (tcp/udp)
- upgrading to newest version
- clear cache and cookies in the browser
- changed browsers to see if one is faster
- performed a clean uninstall/reinstall
(uninstalling, rebooting, then reinstalling a fresh copy)
- logged out of the application and reboot the device
(then logged back in to try and connect successfully)
I am a long time user of PIA living in France and using both servers in France and UK.
And I must say that the last days, using PIA is a pain. Almost unusable.
What is going on ? The bandwidth is sometimes less than 1Mbps in download. It is up and down.
You can't even load a web page most of the time, even though some speed test reports 5Mbps instead of the usual 15Mbps...
My ISP is "Free SAS" and this happens on all the device at home be it laptop, tablet, raspberry pis, and on my mobile phone too when use it on the with the "Free Mobile".
Is there a problem between Free and PIA ???
Please fix this. I can't use PIA, and, this contunuing, I will certainly quit, either PIA or Free....

Where do you see the slow speeds precisely?
What speeds are you seeing (with and without the VPN active)?What operating system are you running on your device(s)?
Are you running any firewalls or other security software on your device(s)?
How are you connecting to the internet (public wifi, your router, an ISP's modem, etc.)?
How are you connecting to VPN (our PIA application, a manual setup, another application, etc.)?Since government censorship and third-party interference can sometimes cause issues with speeds, approximately where in the world are you connecting from?
Who is your ISP?
Once we know this, we will be able to offer some possible resolutions. We look forward to hearing from you.
