Unable to make Facebook (Messenger) calls with the PIA plugin

It is extremely annoying that I cannot make Facebook (Messenger) calls when the PIA plugin is installed, even if it is not activated. There should be a way to make an exception, even if it is temporary, for such calls. But there isn't one that I can find. This is going to result in me uninstalling the PIA plugin. Is that what you want? -Annoyed

    Hello! Thank yo for the response. I apologize for the inconvenience, at this time we do not offer support for VoIP. VoIP services require the use of a SIP server to operate; these servers only support hostname connections. Traffic can only be unrestricted by IP address; VoIP SIP servers typically utilize many IPs as failovers and for load balancing, to handle the traffic through the server. Because of the random nature of the server's connection (the server may use any IP in its pool; there's no way to specify only 1 to use), there's no way to guarantee that the IP your VoIP connection uses at that time, is the one that was whitelisted on our network. VoIP is not directly supported by PIA.

    Additionally, VoIP services utilize a vast array of ports to route traffic; opening all of these ports would constitute a huge security risk and could jeopardize the security of the VPN service; for this reason, we are unable to support VoIP usage in conjunction with our VPN service, to ensure the security and privacy of our client base. If you need further assistance, please let us know! - PIA CS TEAM
