Nvidia Shield-latest update

Recently, I have found myself unable to open the app from within the Nvidia Shield. The only workaround I have found is to uninstall the app and reinstall. Then, it would open. Once I would quit though, I would not be able to open it again. Any clue as to why? I have the VPN and Shield's latest versions and for now, unable to play Netflix as the VPN is activated but I can't find a way to turn it off. Thanks!

Unfortunately, we do not directly support the device. This does not mean connecting is impossible, we are not able to assist.
It may not be possible to download our Android app from the Google Play Store. The Android APK can be found here:

Please be aware if you are using an incompatible Android device, direct support from PIA will not be available. Development and testing of our Android app are done with full, unmodified versions of Android. We have no way to guarantee that any modified or limited versions of Android (as are often found in streaming media devices, etc.) will run the app correctly. However, that does not mean that there is no chance of it working on alternate Android devices – we simply cannot assist in its function.
These options are not a one simple fix and may be periodically used to connect. You can also look into our Forums Page or use a search engine like Google to see if anyone has successfully set up our service this way.
