using a gift card used to give you a 366 day subscription, not anymore

Can someone confirm please? Last two years using a $50 gift card has given me 366 day subscription. Sometime between Aug 2018 and Aug 2019 that subscription has been reduced to 197 days.

When using a gift card, you purchase the service for a set number of days based on the amount of the card balance; then it expires at the end of that time period. To continue service after expiry, you would need to purchase a new account. Only one card can be applied to a purchase, and the entire card balance is consumed. 

Using Paygarden's gift card conversion service incurs a small processing fee, such that the card's dollar value is not an even exchange versus the regular cost using other payment methods. When you trigger a gift card purchase on our site, it takes you to Paygarden's website; on the first page, it shows sample conversion rates for gift card use. When you choose your gift card brand to make the purchase and submit your card PIN, the next screen would indicate the amount of time your card balance will buy.
