Upload speed is ZERO

I am visible on the trackers I use, and can download torrents no problem. However, I have zero upload speed and this greatly effects my ratio. I've searched for solutions like crazy on all the forums, but nothing works. 

I'm using qbittorrent v4.1.7, but I've had the same problem with other clients like utorrent. 

Port forwarding is turned off on my router. 

Can anyone help?

    What is your upload speed using speedtest.net? Both with VPN and without VPN? And, when you are using VPN, are you using a SOCKS5 proxy server?

    Upload speed w/o VPN = 11.71 Mbps
    Upload speed w/ VPN   = 10.93 Mbps

    I am not using a SOCKS5 proxy server, or any other proxy service.

    @shivaa95 that is really dependent on the ISP. For instance, normal Cox upload is around 10Mbps even though their download is 150Mbps (depending on what service you signed up for).

    @jasoninmiami .78Mbps seems reasonable. At least it is not 0Mbps. But are you saying that it creeps down from 10Mbps to 0Mbps?

    No. I'm saying that when I use qBittorrent (or any other client) I am visible on the tracker, but unable to upload. I download no problem, but my share ratio is always zero.

    The up arrow on the bottom of qBittorrent is always orange indicating that I'm not sharing. I know it is not an over-seeding issue. 

    This has only recently become an issue. I'm on MacOS, my firewall is turned off, no port-fowarding on my router.
