Trusted WIFI - not working as expected - PIA is always on

I'm struggling setting up trusted WIFI on the android app, I configured a couple of trusted networks but I am consistently having to disconnect the app while connected to it. At the same time, I'm sometimes connected to an untrusted network and the app is not connected. :neutral:

I have all application settings enabled (1-click connect, on boot, on app update and trust cellular networks). Running version 3.0.0 (464) from the playstore

Any ideas of what could be happening and how to correct it?

    I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with our app.  Do you have the Always-on VPN setting enabled in the Android OS?  This setting will usually override our app and establish a connection.  To check, go to Settings>Connections>More Connection Settings>VPN.  On this page you will see an entry for PIA with a gear icon next to it.  Click on the gear and disable Always-on VPN if it is enabled.
