Slow LAN transfer after installng PIA
Hi All
Before installing PIA, I have a transfer speed from my NAS to PC of 100mb. However after installed PIA, the transfer speed dropped to max of 20mb plus massive CPU spike during transfer.
Does anyone know why this happened?? Now that even I turn off PIA and completely close the program the slowness still exist. PIA must have changed some setting on my PC but I cant figure out why.
Anyone know why please?

When you install a VPN, it effectively creates a secure tunnel between a specific computer and the PIA server. To allow for LAN communications (which effectively requires the breaking of the secure tunnel to a degree), firewall rules are added to the computer that PIA was installed on. If you have an unusual network topology, these firewall rules may not work properly or effectively. Please ensure that you are using a 192.168.x.x IP Address for your default gateway (any network using a 10.x.x.x gateway will experience conflicts, as this is what PIA uses to get data packets to and from their users). Additionally, if you do have an unusual network setup for your LAN, PIA would be unable to offer further LAN troubleshooting. The allow LAN traffic is an additional feature that is included, but does have very limited support.
