Real ip shows up in peer list when connecting through vpn.

Hey guys. As the title says I'm using PIA VPN and uTorrent. When i check the peer list of the torrent i keep finding my real IP adress. What is going on? nba reddit

Kill switch is on. Ive tried it with fresh torernts that i know i am on the vpn while downloding the torrent file itself and when i launch uTorrent. My Real IP keeps showing up, along with my VPN IP somewhere in the list.pcpartpicker

I did a ip leak check and dnsleak check. All good. Any help is appreciated. reverse phone lookup

    When you say your real IP address, do you mean the address that is assigned to you by your ISP? Or do you mean the address that is assigned to you by PIA?

    For instance, my ISP assigned IP address is 68.x.x.x and the PIA IP address is (machine) 10.x.x.x while the public IP address is dynamic, but right now 91.x.x.x. If I go to any torrent site the 91.x.x.x will show up in the tracker. If I am using SOCKS5 then the IP address from the proxy server is visible.

    I have not seen my ISP assigned IP Address until I terminate PIA.So let the team know which IP address is visible, ISP or PIA?

    First, don't use uTorrent, it's a bloated mess. I recommend using qBittorrent. You can go to Options/Advanced/Network Interface and set to listen on the TAP driver only. This should prevent this issue.
