Can't access Disney Plus

edited November 2019 in General VPN Support
I'm connected to the Silicon Valley server, and when I try to go to https://disneyplus.com , the page only partially loads. If I look in the console, I'll see something like:

(Firefox)   Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://js-agent.newrelic.com/nr-spa-1099.min.js”.

(Chrome) Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED nr-spa-1099.min.js

If I turn off VPN, the page loads just fine.

Incidentally, I tried connecting to a bunch of different US servers, and none of them work for Disney Plus. Could it possibly be one of the PIA settings? The only thing I've tried so far is to turn off PIA MACE, but that had no effect.

Also, I tried it on a different computer, and same issue. Disney Plus half-loads with VPN, but fully loads when it's turned off.
  • Hello Accelerate. We are aware and looking into it. yes, it looks like just this script seems to be blocked. Do you have Mace enabled? I am aware that Disney+ is going to be aggressive at blocking VPNs just like Netflix. I do thank you for the info.
  • I've tried both PIA MACE on and off (it was on by default), and it didn't seem to make a difference.

What I have noticed is that once I get through the Disney Plus authentication process with VPN off, I can turn on VPN and continue using Disney Plus. And it seems to be okay for a few hours, but then after a few hours, if I reload the page, then I'll get the same error again.
  • I am having the same issue from Canada.

i had to authenticate using my cellphone hotspot then run through the VPN.

it worked for a few hours then stopped again.

doesnt matter if I use a USA or Canadian server.
  • Has this not been fixed??? I cannot get the login page to load either. That would be ridiculous if so- many other VPNs have this resolved.
  • Hi, will there be any resolution to this?
  • The same issue I got when for a while I tried Disney+ I was having the same problem(Disney+ isn't available in my country). Of course, it was crazy on the first day, but I was able to connect just fine on my wifi using PIA.

From what I have found on Google a list of recommended VPNs https://techloris.com/best-vpn/ which works fine for sites like Disney+, Netflix, etc.
