Network metric for private internet access

Hello, I don't want the private internet access application to route all my traffic. I tried changing the network metric by right clicking the tap-win32 adapter, going to ipv4 -> advanced -> and setting the interface metric to 10 and setting my desktop's main adapter to 1.
Unfortuantely traffic still goes through the vpn, how do I change this?

    I'm having the same issue. Tried setting my regular network adapter to 1, and the VPN to 9999, then I restarted my PC and it still prioritizes traffic over the VPN.
