Loadlibrary failed with error 87 - the parameter is incorrect

I'm getting the following error message when trying to start PIA after installing the latest PIA for windows 10 pia-windows-x64-1.6-03756.exe. "Loadlibrary failed with error 87 - the parameter is incorrect". Any suggestions?

I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing issues with our program since the update.  There are some known issues with certain graphic cards that can result in behavior like this.  The first thing I would like you to do is ensure your system and graphic drivers are up to date.  This link outlines how to check for an update in Windows 10: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027667/windows-10-update

If you have third party graphic card software, check for an update there too.

If this does not resolve the issue, disable your video card from the device manager (from the second link).  Once disabled, restart your computer. Now our program should display normally, go into the Settings menu and navigate to the Help tab.  There will be an option to Disable Accelerated Graphics; after selecting this option, re-enable your graphic card and restart your computer again.  Now the program should display correctly.
