PIA slows internet down after starting torrents.

Hi.

If I try downloading torrents, the my speed slows to 1% of normal speed. Not just for the torrents for everything else too. This happened before a couple of years ago and I don't remember which solution worked.

I'm using Qbitorrent and I'm on a Mac. I've tried transmission and uTorrent as well.

What can I do to fix this?

    Go to the settings then advanced and look for Network interface. Try the adapters here, you have to find the one for the VPN tunnel. (may be tun1 or tun2, eth2, etc.)
    Make sure the listening port on Conenctions is open. May take a bit of experimenting.
    If your internet is bogging out, reduce your global connections, these can bog down your router.
