PiA and Firefox horrible page loading.

So ive just done a fresh install of my whole system... i had previously used Edge but planned on using Firefox this time round for some extra security now that Edge is Chromium.

Installed firefox and tested as is without PIA no issues... i then connected the Pia Desktop to my auto location and all of a sudden whenever i click on any page... it will either load right away or will stall for about 8 seconds then once it connects it flies fast... but this is getting annoying when doing a lot of link clicking for fast browsing this wait whilst it seems to be connecting is no fun.

Ive even disabled everything in firefox from its built in security and all the things you could imagine being an issue makes no difference its when Pia is running... and its firefox alone im having issues with as my speed tests and torrents are full speed.

Any ideas ?

IVe now tried to install firefox and edge clean and straight out the box both run fast however with PIA on both have slow page loading.. seems like there is a delay before connecting then once it does everything loads fast.

Again this is issue is browser only related i have no issues with utorrent or even on speed checks purely on page loading/delay.

I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing issues with the VPN. Please enable the "Use Small Packets" option in the program. This option edits the MTU value being used by our program and usually helps with lagging issues. You can find this option in the Connection tab in our Settings menu.

If you continue to see this behavior try changing the connection settings. First, try altering the remote port in use by the program. To do so, you will need to be using the OpenVPN protocol. If none of these options allow for a connection, please try using the new WireGuard protocol. You can find this option on the Connection tab.

I am having the same issue with v2.0.0. The loading speed is driving me crazy! I fixed the issue by downgrading to v1.8.0.

Edit: After v2.0.1 everything is perfect again. Thanks

Firefox79 load times are terrible with Next Gen on MacOS Catalina 10.15.6, yet Safari is fine. Switching back to OpenVPN resolves the problem. Would rather move forward and have Firefox be suitable with Next Gen as the forwarded port is a huge advantage.
