qbittorent no longer working since the Canada port forward incident

Ever since the CA port forward incident, qbittorent no longer functions. I can change servers to other port forward servers or non port forwarding servers and nothing happens. occasionally one random torrent may connect and download but now I seem dead in the water, any alternative configuration tips?

I am able to connect to Frankfurt and Berlin with no issues. I can't "use Germany" as a third option as the support agent suggested because Frankfurt and Berlin are actually IN GERMANY... You would think some basic knowledge of geography would be required to represent a company with so many server locations worldwide :s

I am able to lease a port from those servers, but with a 800Mbit upload line i am only seeing 12Mbit upload split between 58 connected users (nightly distros) with the overloaded network.  Its basically not even worth it at an 80:1 speed hit.

Check your client settings, it should run at least, all be it not well.

A lot of the competing VPN's have 30 day trials right now trying to capitalize on all of the people stuck at home, this may be time see if any of them work better for you, doing the same as renewal approaches, if this drags out from now 11 days with no ETA to just getting swept under the rug there won't be much option.

  • Have any of you submitted a ticket? It does no good to talk about it if an active ticket is not opened. I don't use port forwarding, but I do understand the guys that do use it. Open a ticket if you haven't already.

    Found on PIA Support site:

    March 31, 2020 - Port Forwarding Issues

    in Announcements

Our DevOps team is aware of issues that may impact Port Forwarding usage on some of our servers. We have resolved the issue on all servers with the exception of Canada. We currently have no timetable for the re-addition of port forwarding capabilities to our Canadian servers, but we will make an announcement here, once it is back up and running. When attempting to use port forwarding (on servers outside of Canada), if you receive a "Failure" message, please re-connect until the port does populate as intended. Should you find that the issue persists, please submit a support ticket here:

Thank you for your patience and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

  • It "does no good" to reply to posts without reading them.
Honestly, read what you are replying to... :/

What part of "... as the support agent suggested..." in literally the first line of my post makes you think that I haven not spoken to a support agent about this?

All the support agent did was copy and paste the same announcement you did and add a list of working servers to it, thus the joke about him not knowing that Frankfurt and Berlin were actually in Germany.
