Should Firefox's DNS be disabled?

I got a prompt saying Firefox has improved privacy by routing DNS requests to cloud flair. Should this be disabled to ensure only PIA's DNS servers are used? Should the user provider: custom be set to anything in Firefox?

    I believe that PIA DNS is selected when VPN is in use, PIA will use its own DNS regardless of what DNS is entered into the settings on your NIC or Firefox, The FF DNS is used only when VPN is not active,

    This can be tested by going to IPLEAK.NET. It will show you what DNS is being used when VPN is on or off. When VPN is on, there should only be one (1) DNS server.
