Firefox Keeps Prompting for PIA Authentication

Every time firefox is relaunched or the extension switches servers, the following pop-up appears:

Authentication RequiredThe proxy moz-proxy://https-(insert-relevant-server).privateinternetaccess.com:80 is requesting a username and password. The site says: "Private Internet Access"

Its pretty annoying and I only started seeing this after I did a fresh install of my Firefox and its addons.

Extension Version: v2.1.4.2
Firefox Version: 76.0.1 (64-bit)
OS: Windows 10 Professional 1909

    Do note that I have firefox added in the desktop application to bypass VPN (this is so that I can use the firefox extension exclusively for firefox to bypass certain web addresses)

    Add me to this list since the 2.2.2 version came out. . I end up quitting PIA altogether and then all is fine again. For whatever reason once PIA connects, my system looses all internet connection. It;s wildly intermittent and i solved it by uninstalling that and going back to the 2..2.1 version which is working fine.
