US Chicago New Batch of IP Addresses?

There seems to be a new batch of IP addresses Chicago has implemented, beginning with 212.xx.xx.xx, that is causing problems with how my Microsoft Outlook is processing my emails. Either Outlook or Google is blocking Gmail from coming through my Outlook because they sense that I am getting attacked from Italy. Does anyone have any insight into this? This all started just Monday afternoon around 1000PM GMT (400pm CDT).

  • Google is very sensitive to where you login from. I have found that if I forget to close Outlook and then go to a different server out of my normal location I get a security notification from Google. I will tell Google it was me and then remind myself to close Outlook if I decided to travel.

However, one day I went to Long Beach Ca from my home near San Diego Ca and the same thing happened. But I was not on PIA, I was using my normal ISP. So it happens regardless of VPN or no VPN.

Again, Google is very sensitive to your login location.
  • I'm having the exact same problem. I'm using PIA to connect to a Chicago server and Google keeps thinking I'm in Italy.
But it's not only Google, other websites think I'm based in Europe.

Hi i noticed the same thing too i thought i was the only one.

  • Datacamp is routing through Europe. I can't tell you how many times recently I've been geoblocked or forced through captchas by sites thinking I'm in Europe despite choosing the Chicago, US East or NYC servers, despite reconnecting over and over through different servers. I'm through with this. When renewal time comes up, I'm leaving.
  • Yeah, this is going to be it for me unless they change these IP addresses. I am sick of getting blocked by local websites, or unable to view local sports video, because they think I am in Europe when I am connected to PIA's US Chicago.
